Cloud FAQ

Answers to common questions about what ArchPilot Cloud stores, how it relates to local validation, and how teams use it for architecture governance.

Why it matters

Use this page when you need a quick product answer about the Cloud workspace rather than a detailed workflow walkthrough.

Does Cloud replace the extension or CLI?

No. ArchPilot Cloud is the shared governance layer. The extension and CLI still perform the actual architecture validation.

Can we use ArchPilot without Cloud?

Yes. Teams can begin with local validation, architecture review, and CI workflows alone. Cloud becomes more important once architecture results need to be shared across repositories, teams, and time.

What does Cloud add for a team?

Cloud adds repository history, findings visibility, ownership rollups, policy and exception workflows, organization dashboards, and a shared place to review architecture posture over time.

What kind of teams benefit most?

Cloud becomes more valuable as repository count, ownership complexity, and the need for organization-level architecture governance increase.
